Going to meet a friend at the train station.  Unfortunately, it won’t look as cool as this.
Sorry, I mean The train pulled into the station, late, like the last lion to join the feast.  It offloaded its cargo.  Passengers, visitors, businessmen.  A fresh shipment of lambs to the slaughter.  They’d lose their souls in this twisted shell of a city, just like I’d lost mine.  Like the freshest asphalt they walked on, sooner or later, everybody cracked.

1000 de la Gauchetière hidden in fog, downtown Montreal.
Glad I had my camera with me.

Somehow, this photo I took got published in McGill University’s “Canadian Content” journal, volume 3.  I should probably add that the photo is not sociopolitical commentary. The bikes do not represent Canada. The chains do not represent unity, and the grease does not represent Albertan oil. It’s just a picture of bicycles.

I shot this in June and had it sitting on my hard drive since.  Figured I’d post it.  Maybe you’ll get some warm feelings during this chilly weekend.  Or something.  I don’t know.

Sure was summer in Quebec.  I hope my prof didn’t mind me taking a few shots of his bike.
